The Story Behind the Name Jigyasa
Every hotel has an origin. Ours has a heartbeat.
Jigyasa Palace is named in loving memory of Jigyasa, beloved daughter of Mr. Lokendra Singh, whose life was cut tragically short in an accident. Rather than let her memory fade quietly with time, her father chose to build something that would carry her name into the world and let it bring joy to strangers who would never have known her — but would come to feel her presence in every corner of this palace.
This is not just a name on a signboard. It is a promise. A promise that laughter, celebration, and warmth would continue to live wherever her name is spoken. Every smile shared in our courtyards, every family reunited in our rooms, every toast raised at our rooftop bar — becomes, in its own quiet way, a tribute to her.

Hotel Jigyasa Palace was founded by brothers Mr. Lokendra Singh and Mr. Bhawani Singh, who belong to a distinguished Rajput lineage deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of Rajasthan.
Their vision was simple, yet ambitious — to build a heritage hotel that honours the richness of Rajasthani hospitality while offering the comfort and ease today's traveller expects. Rising five floors above the Golden City, built entirely in Jaisalmer's iconic yellow sandstone, Jigyasa Palace stands as a tribute to both a family's heritage and a family's heart.
